Reflection: This mosaic has created a lively space in a busy transit area. It uses colorfully composed images of individuals, movements & diversity to enhance daily commutes as well as encourage the imagination of all that travel through it. As opposed to graffiti, this art piece was commissioned, therefore encouraging people traveling through the area on a regular basis.

Reflection: Hidden behind a metal fence, this street-art conveys a building tnto a mural, making it beautiful. It's intresting to see that this piece of street-art has such a vibrant color next to all the gray buildings around it; this shows us where we find beauty when we least expect it. This street art reminded me that you don't have to plan for something to be public art; street art happens as people make their mark on the city

Reflection: The artwork drew my attention with the simplicity that it is using in conjunction with its bold lettering. It is simply two words; HOPE, SHIE painted into an enormous blank wall. I was able to stop for a moment to consider what those words mean to each of us. Whereas most public art is commissioned and hence uses more elaborate graphics or details, this street art creates opportunity for courisity, discussion and individual contemplating through simple words.

Reflection: When I was viewing this piece, I observed there were many small parts to create these characters. It looked like a puzzle or an image created with thousands of tiny different objects. This reminds me that everyone has their own experiences, culture and memories which have shaped them into who they are today. Every character on the wall seems as if they may be moving and all are uniquely themselves. Each of us has our own story of where we came from and where we are going. When you view at the subway station you realize that what normally just a space to wait for your train can become a place to reflect and appreciate all the different people passing through it daily

Reflection:The artwork took an average subway car and turned it into an attractive public art show to celebrate the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The very first time that I saw this was as I waited at the subway station; the colors were bright and the abstract design made it impossible for me to ignore it. I liked the idea of turning art into something that you see every day on your daily commute to work or school and, in turn, make your trip on the subway feel like a more fun experience by creating a warm and inviting atmosphere and bring people closer together with their love of sports and soccer.
