Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts Station

I was on my way to a movie when I walked past two adjacent public art performances. The one on the right, a choir, was sanctioned and had a photographer and conductor. On the left is an old man with a saxophone and a bucket. I was only there for a second to take the photo, but I didn't hear the choir in that time. The old man sounded great.

Tompkins Ave

On Tompkins Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant is a sign explaining a new community-led public art project. This mural is still in progress and people can be seen working on it during the day. It features a style of art common in Bed-Stuy murals, and feels like an appropriate and welcome addition to the neighborhood. See below for photos and a QR code.
