Mock Trial is a club that competes in an annual competition created and sponsored by the New York State Bar Association. In it students play the roles of witness and attorneys as they compete against other schools in an attempt to win the Putnam County title. Winners are determined by which school's team gains the most points in the match. The county championship team then moves onto the regionals and competes against other regional champions until the two best teams from the state play each other for the state title. Students will learn how to give opening and closing statements, direct and cross examination and how to be the best witnesses
