Introduction

China is a country with a continuous civilisation that goes back thousands of years. The only culture in

the world that has lasted longer is the Indigenous Australian culture that has existed for over 40,000

years. While other old cultures such as the Egyptians or the Aztecs have completely different beliefs and

societies compared to hundreds or thousands of years ago, the Chinese have held on to some of their

ancient traditions right up until the 21st Century.
