Dear Class of 2020,

As I start this letter to all of you, I can’t help but reflect on this year. I hope you will remember this year with fondness and appreciation. Fondness of all the good times we have shared and appreciation of all that we’ve experienced and accomplished. I feel fortunate for the week we had to experience Outdoor Science School. So much fun and laughter was shared!

This year was also marked with an unprecedented experience…school was shutdown for the first time. Even though that happened, we can feel blessed that we could still be in touch with our Zoom meetings and Google Classroom. Those meetings truly made me smile.

This year, many of you have found your voice, wisdom, and maturity. All of you will accomplish spectacular things in your lifetime. I wish each and every one of you a prosperous, successful, and happy future. I hope you set goals for yourself and that you strive to achieve those goals. Remember to challenge yourself while being your own best friend. Life takes work, but hard work pays off.

I hope you treasure each day of your life and you find goodness even with the smallest of things. Be kind human beings, love nature, and of course, Be your best self!
