Magnolia Public Schools grades 3-8 had the NJSLA testing on May 12th-May 16th 2025. NJSLA is one of the most stressful weeks of test-taking. I asked a student from every class from each grade that takes the test how they think they did, what was the hardest subject, and why it was the hardest subject. The consensus was that math was the hardest subject out of English and Math, but for 5th and 8th grade they also took the science NJSLA testing. Most believed they did well.
Aja Johnson, 7th grader, said, “[Mrs. Rutherford's NJSLA Boot Camp] helped me with placing dialogue, and I think that helped me excel in the narrative essay.”
Daniel Vega 7th grade said, “The third section of math was the hardest.”
Charlie Fogarty 3rd grade said, “I think it was hard when I had to type on the NJSLA.”
Antonio Lozada said, “Science was the hardest because I’m not used to it.”
My personal opinion is that math was the hardest, in particular either section one or section three. I say this because Math is harder to do because of the steps and math is the hardest subject in my opinion. I also believe that I did well on the NJSLA.
