What if I can't afford the fees?

The Madison Starlings offers the option to raise some or all of your club fees through fundraising and/or volunteer events.

• Normally we offer many opportunities such as working at Concession Stands, but most of these opportunities don't exist this season due to Covid. When we are able to offer such opportunities, we consider 1 hour of help to be worth $20 towards your club fee obligation.

• This year we will focus primarily on Serve-a-Thons to generate club fees. A Serve-a-Thon is a unique fundraiser where each volleyball player finds people to pledge an amount of money for each good serve during a designated practice hour with 100 serve attempts. After the number of successful serves are counted, participants collect the pledged dollar amounts from family and friends.

• If you qualify for free/reduced lunch, we have limited funds available to cover the $50 cost of the USAV Badger Region membership

How does this cost compare to other clubs?

• Club volleyball cost typically ranges from a minimum of $1500 per season up to $10,000 for elite-level teams.
