Voters APPROVE Madison Public Schools bond referendum!
Here in Madison, we take pride in maintaining our high educational standards and take seriously our mission to provide students with healthy, safe and inviting learning environments.
The Board of Education is asking Madison residents to consider three ballot questions that would invest in the district’s aging infrastructure. From increasing health, safety and accessibility and modernizing systems to replacing roofing and windows, these improvements would touch each building across the district. The questions build upon and complement each other.
Across the district, the following updates would take place at every school - Torey J. Sabatini, Kings Road School, Central Avenue School, Madison Junior School and Madison High School:
Upgrades to entryway security such as cameras, additional card readers and protective window film
Classroom heating and ventilation upgrades (includes new unit ventilators) and automated temperature control systems to improve efficiency and reliability, plus the electrical service and panel updates to support these enhancements
Outdated fire alarm systems, public address systems and building exit signs would be replaced to increase security communication and offer more peace of mind
Interior renovations to areas that haven’t receive attention in years, such as bathrooms, ceilings, lighting, flooring, classroom storage and doors
