Minor Incident Reports (M.I.R.) are not a consequence for breaking school rules, but rather are a way to monitor and communicate student behavior in the classroom and around campus.
Prior to using M.I.R.'s in a classroom, the teacher should reteach and model expectations for behavior.
In Madison, we use a discipline matrix when considering giving a consequence. The discipline matrix is included in the student handbook, which you are required to sign at the beginning of every school year.
