Panic Disorder is one of the things that cause panic attacks. It's an overreaction of fear and anxiety to normal everyday stressors. This common disorder has been known to lead to depression. Panic disorder can be disabling due to excessive fear of when your next panic attack might occur. People with panic disorders might be more sensitive to hormones that cause excited feelings. Panic disorder often runs in families and can be caused by other mental disorders. Women are twice as likely as men to have it and it usually starts in teens or early adulthood.
