Once per quarter, students should be demonstrating that they are reading science information outside the classroom. To prove this, students can listen to a podcast, read an on-line, newspaper or magazine article, or watch a video. Then students must summarize the information they used in 1-2 paragraphs. The summary and article should be shared with Mr. Ropa using this template. If students choose to share this with their science class, they demonstrate higher level thinking and earn more points for doing so. Students who want to qualify for an A grade (>3.0 standard score) are required to complete and submit a S'News Article summary.
