Experimental Enigmas are a way for students to ask questions about a phenomenon and understand how to propose a hypothesis, design an experiment, make predictions and evaluate their scientific reasoning. Ropa will present an Experimental Enigma in class. Students who wish to go above and beyond, can try the same enigma at home, by changing a variable or making new measurements not done in class. By conducting the experiment themselves, students can demonstrate higher level thinking and will become more independent scientists. Instructions on how to complete an Experimental Enigma are linked here.
