Madera Unified School District embarked on a district-wide Character Education initiative in Fall 2021. We are excited to continue with the program this year!
We will focus on learning and practicing one highlighted character trait each month. Quarterly, we will celebrate a group of students at each school site who demonstrate these character traits.
These students are known as
STUDENT HEROES
Recognition Awards will be distributed following the grade bands below for each quarter.
Elementary K-6 & K-8: ONE per grade span
TK-2nd, 3rd-6th & 7th-8th
Middle School:
ONE per grade span 7th-8th
High School:
ONE per grade span 9th-12th
Alt Ed*:
ONE student from site
*Alt Ed Sites: MVHS, Ripperdan CDS, Furman ISP
Students will be recognized each quarter.
Student Hero nomination forms will be emailed to Principals each quarter.
