MacEwan University is the second largest public university in Edmonton, Alberta. Located in the
heart of downtown, the city centre campus is a recognized landmark that stretches along several
streets connected by pedestrian walkways.
Founded in 1971, MacEwan University provides a transformative education in a collaborative and
supportive learning environment for students of all ages. We offer more than 60 certificate, diploma
and degree programs in its five Faculties and Schools. Over 18,000 students attend the university.

What's Included in your Study Tour Package?
Several items and activities are included in the program to help you live comfortably in Edmonton for the duration of your stay:
Accommodation in a 2-bedroom suite shared with one other person for your 4-week stay
$75 per week in grocery gift cards to use at the grocery store ($300 total) This is to cover 3 meals per day. You will have a kitchen in your suite to cook basic meals (microwave & hot plate)
Selected activities including canoeing, museums etc.
An ETS transit pass valid for unlimited bus and LRT travel while you are here.
Emergency medical insurance (for hospital emergency coverage) while you are here.
Return transfer from Edmonton Airport to MacEwan Residence if arriving and departing on specified tour dates.
We recommend you also budget around $100-150 Canadian per week for additional OPTIONAL activities to your preferences:

Sport tickets
Admission to locations not included in the fee
Extra food/take out food
Eating/drinking at restaurants and bars
Shopping
Souvenirs
Unexpected expenses such as medicine, toiletries, extra warm clothes etc.
How will I get around?
How will I get around?
You will receive an ETS (Edmonton Transit System) pass for the duration of your stay in Edmonton. The price is included in the program so you don't need to pay extra. Edmonton has a good transit system. You can use the bus and the LRT (Light rail transit) to get around and most popular attractions will have a direct stop or transit station.

Your classes will take place in one of MacEwan University's newest buildings, Allard Hall.
Allard Hall is equipped with the newest technology and state-of-the-art classrooms, so you will get to experience a modern learning environment designed to create future-ready students.
And, Allard Hall is a short one-minute walk from Residence.
