Information and Care:

The Laurie Hamre Center for Health and Wellness is a great place to start. This on-campus option offers a full range of sexual health services, including STI (sexually transmitted infection) testing, sexual health exams, and birth control consultations. A consultation is always free. We will take the time to answer your questions about anything and everything. Don't know how to put on a condom? We are here to help!

A few other options are Planned Parenthood on Vandalia (right off the 63) and Family Tree Clinic (walking distance from Macalester, on Dayton), and Red Door Clinic (downtown Minneapolis). You can set up an appointment online or take a look at their online resources if you have other questions. These clinics will not be free but will work with your insurance. If you have questions about whether insurance will cover your care, call ahead and ask to speak with someone about payment and your insurance. Also always make sure to bring your insurance card to all medical appointments.

Sexual Health Products:

Order a Safer Sex Kit from the Hamre Center. All products and information are available anonymously and free. Request your kit by going to the 'Safer Sex Kits' tab of this website and filling out the online form. If you are looking to learn more about contraception (sometimes called birth control), Planned Parenthood has a great resource that helps you decide what method might be best for you and your partner(s).
