I am honored to facilitate the Work That Reconnects process for people seeking ways, in community, to:
experience gratitude for our lives, our reciprocity with each other and the more-than-human world;
name and grieve openly the many injustices committed against the living planet and all human and more-than-human beings, historically and currently;
activate our imaginations on the continuum of Deep Time and find inspiration, knowledge and courage there;
recommit to purpose and take new action on behalf of all life in these uncertain, transformational times.
The Work That Reconnects (WTR) is a living system of practices and activities that draws from the wisdom of the living world. These practices and activities have been sequenced, over the past 50 years, in a Spiral of Active Hope that facilitators design for groups of people seeking re-connection to an ethical compass, to each other and the more-than-human world. The root teacher of WTR is Joanna Macy (1929-2025), a visionary activist, deep ecologist, systems thinker, and author and translator of 12 books.
