I have always really enjoyed research and deeply exploring new topics and questions. I love to search for details that spark new interests and questions.
In taking Biology and Chemistry at the beginning of high school I found myself wanting to take experiments further and research my own angles of these projects deeper than we had the time to do in class. In Advanced Studies in Inorganic Chemistry, I have learned how to troubleshoot and be ok when I do not get the results or data I expect.
The MARC program has been a place in which I feel empowered to ask questions, research, and create new ways to approach answering the questions.
I will be attending Stanford University in the fall of 2020.
Through my experiences in research, I have learned the importance of resiliency and perseverance. I have experienced many shifts in direction whether it be from feasibility, resources, or time. But through all of these difficulties I have grown as a scientist and creative thinker.
