Literature Review - May 8, 2026
I have been working on a literature review, and I'm in the process of finding and note-taking on articles with interesting findings. As of the past week, I have read some papers on how ACEs affect rates of maternal depression and cultural stigma around mental illness in Asian immigrant communities. I have yet to find an article that focuses specifically on Asian immigrant mothers and how ACEs affect their rates of maternal depression. This might be a research gap I want to fill.Â
Mentorship! - April 13, 2026
One successful Zoom call later, and I finally have a confirmed mentor! I am delighted to announce that I will be executing this passion project under the mentorship of Dr. Victoria F. Keeton at UC Davis, who has expertise in maternal mental health and its intersection with public health factors. I am excited for what comes next!
