At the end of each day, we will fill out planners as a class to cover what homework is assigned for the night, what is expected of them the following day, and reminders. Students should leave school knowing what is due the following day, making sure they have all supplies needed for the night.
I try to give LOTS of time for students to complete work at school, so if they use this time wisely, they should not come home with much homework!
Students are expected to read for 30 minutes every night. I encourage you to make this a family activity!
Every math lesson has an accompanying homework page. These are meant to be quick (usually no more than 10 questions) assessments of a student’s understanding. Be sure to use the online resources offered by GoMath if there is any confusion or frustration with a topic. (See the Useful Websites tab if you need help accessing this website!)
Practice spelling words every night!
Once a homework assignment is graded, students are given ONE opportunity to make corrections for a higher score if they choose.
