NZQA and Assessment

NZQA is the government body that oversees NCEA. They set the standards that students are assessed against, and make the rules about how that assessment can take place. NZQA also issues all NCEA qualifications. Every student can create an account in the NZQA portal, which allows them to check on their qualifications and communicate directly with NZQA. All you require is your NSN number, which your LA can give you if you don't already know it.

Here is the link to the NZQA student portal. This is where you can go to check on your qualifications, look at your most recent achievement, and request documents or information from NZQA. You can also use this link to register for your account or reset your password.

This is the Lytton High School NZQA Student Handbook. It covers the school rules and policies around assessment and NCEA. Please read it and make yourself familiar with how these policies work.

Here is the Candidate Information Sheet for NZQA exams in 2020. Please read this, and make sure you understand it. If you have any questions you can ask you LA or see Mr. Dagger.
