Attendance at all performance is required.  Band and orchestra are, by nature, a team experience, and performances are a celebration of huge accomplishments.  The reward of a student’s hard work and effort cannot be fully realized without the closure of a performance.

However, life does happen.  In the event of an excused absence, a make-up assignment will be assigned.  Examples of excused absences include student illness, or a family emergency (such as a sudden death).  This does not include vacations.  All absences must be accompanied by documentation.  Failure to produce such from a parent for said event will result in an unexcused absence.  It is each student’s responsibility to get and complete make-up assignments in a timely fashion as assigned by the director.

All excused absences may be reviewed by the entirety of the music department faculty for validity and acceptance. 

Concert Attire 

Elementary Band & Orchestra

Boys:  Black dress pants, black shoes, black socks, white dress shirt.

Girls:  Black dress pants or skirt, black shoes, white dress shirt.  Skirts should be worn with tights or leggings and reach to at least the knee. 

Middle School Band & Orchestra

Boys & Girls: Tie and cummerbund (Provided by school), white tuxedo shirt, black dress pants, black dress socks, black dress shoes
