Welcome to the Reflective Online Exhibition
created by the Spiritual Life Center
at the University of Lynchburg
This reflective online exhibition is made possible by the Roger C. Dowdy and Janie Wineman Dowdy Endowment for Initiatives in Peacebuilding through Spirituality and the Arts which supports a graduate assistant position in the Spiritual Life Center.
Our aim is to create opportunities and initiatives for students and the University of Lynchburg community to explore the ways in which the arts and interfaith traditions can collaboratively impact peacebuilding for the common good – resulting in a more peaceful and equitable society, an expansive awareness of spirituality in everyday life, and a greater understanding of the arts in religious or secular traditions and the “public square.”
This online exhibition, is an accessible way for all to have a personal encounter with spirituality and the arts. As you move through this exhibition, may you be able to come to deeper realizations about yourself and your surroundings, resulting in strong feelings of peace and humanity.
This online exhibition is an "at your own pace" experience.
We suggest that you take time to interact with the various forms of art and prompts in each topic, in order to participate in the full reflective experience.
All prompts can be found on the individual tabs or compiled in the Reflective Exhibition Workbook, available to download for free below.
You can navigate to each topic and corresponding artwork by selecting the underlined topic word below or through the "Topics" navigation tab in the top right corner.
Download the Reflective Exhibition Workbook here, as a companion resource to this site.
