Internships

The Internship Program at the University of Lynchburg

Students interested in receiving academic credit for an internship experience related to their major or minor, can do so at the University of Lynchburg. The Career & Professionalism Center is the office responsible for coordinating internships for credit. Students wishing to do internships without academic credit are also encouraged to reach out to the Career & Professionalism Center for any support they may need in finding an internship.

With an internship, you can:

• Connect the classroom and the work environment

• Experience the working world

• Solidify your career goals

• Test possible career choices

• Learn and develop work skills

• Discover more about yourself

• Plan for the future

Internships can be paid or non-paid, credit-bearing or non-credit-bearing, with a for-profit or non-profit organization or company. Students can earn up to 12 credit hours in internship experience towards their degree while at the University of Lynchburg.
