High School to High Heels 💼👠
On January 10, 2026, LWV Marietta-Cobb County presented a Voter Education event for high school girls, part of the High School to High Heels mentorship program of the event hosts, the Northwest Georgia chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women.
LWV speakers Monica Granderson, Madison Henry, and Sharon J. Hill presented information on voting and the importance of local elections to a vibrant group of Cobb high schoolers. League members also provided attendees with actionable steps they could take to become involved citizens, and encouraged them to use their voices to influence policy issues through education and advocacy.
