Somer Levine is a credentialed K-12 Reading and Language Arts Specialist. She holds an Ed.M. in Reading Education from Boston University, an M.A. in Secondary Education and a single subject credential in English from Loyola Marymount University, and a B.A. in English and Spanish minor from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has worked as a literacy intervention specialist, literacy coach, and English teacher during her nine years in the field of education. Her love for the Spanish language and culture inspired her to move to Barcelona, Spain for one year. She enrolled in the Universitat de Barcelona and completed her junior year of undergraduate studies abroad. In her free time she enjoys cooking, learning to sew, and spending time with her husband and daughter. She is thrilled to join the team at Sumac Elementary as the bilingual Intervention Specialist.
