Hello! My name is Natalie Iaccino and I am thrilled to be your child’s first grade teacher. Welcome back to school! First and foremost, I want to take a moment and share some things about myself with you.
I am a true California girl! I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and currently live in Simi Valley with my husband Randy, our 17 year old daughter Madysen, our 15 year old son, Gavin, and our 7 year old Mini Bernedoodle Teddy (basically my third child). My daughter Madysen is beginning her senior year at Agoura High School. I have said that so many times in the last few months and it is still hard to believe…a senior! Madysen is a beautiful young lady with a genuinely kind heart. She loves all things theater and is truly happiest when she is on stage. Her passion is musical theater so we spend lots of time seeing live shows locally. She is also an avid sports watcher so we enjoy Friday night lights at the high school as well as cheering on our LA teams during their seasons. My son, Gavin, will be a Sophomore at Agoura this year. He is a typical boy with a mind of his own, an infectious laugh, and is growing into a very handsome young man (I may be a little biased)! Like most boys his age, he LOVES video games and is a proud member of the AHS E-Sports team. He is also a trombone player and is a member of the AHS Marching Band and Wind Ensembles. My kids are the lights of my life and being a mom is what brings me true happiness. I am in awe of my children each and every day. Trust me when I tell you…time flies! I literally CANNOT believe I have two high schoolers, one of which is working on college applications!
I consider myself a fairly active person and enjoy spending my free time taking long walks or going to any kind of live event. Concerts are my absolute favorite but I also love watching a good musical or sporting event. Madysen and I are members of the National Charity League which allows us to volunteer in the community regularly. Disneyland and the beach are my “happy places” and I try to get there whenever I can. This is the start of my TWENTY-SIXTH year at Round Meadow and my twenty fifth year teaching first grade. Talk about time flying!
First grade is a magical time in your child’s life. I can attest to that both as a teacher and a parent. Please know that I am here for your child and for your family. We’re all in this together! My goal is to build a caring, trusting relationship with each one of my students and to maintain a strong partnership with each of you. I am looking forward to getting to know your family.
