Hello! My name is Natalie Iaccino and I am thrilled to be your child’s first grade teacher. Welcome back to school! First and foremost, I want to take a moment and share some things about myself with you.
I am a true California girl! I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and currently live in Simi Valley with my husband Randy, our 16 year old daughter Madysen, our 14 year old son, Gavin, and our 6 year old Mini Bernedoodle Teddy (basically my third child)! My daughter Madysen is a junior at Agoura High School…Go Chargers! Madysen is a beautiful young lady with a genuinely kind heart. She is a member of the AHS Spirit Team and is also an active member of their theater department. Her passion is musical theater and she is truly happiest when she is on stage. My son, Gavin, will join his big sister at Agoura this year as a freshman. He is a typical boy with a mind of his own, an infectious laugh, and is growing into a very handsome young man (I may be a little biased)! Like most boys his age, he LOVES video games. His favorites are anything Mario, Zelda and Roblox. He is also a trombone player and will be joining the AHS Marching Band. My kids are the lights of my life and being a mom is what brings me true happiness. I am in awe of my children each and every day. Trust me when I tell you…time flies! I literally CANNOT believe I have two high schoolers.
I consider myself a fairly active person and enjoy spending my free time taking a long walk or going to any kind of live event. Concerts are my absolute favorite but I also love watching a good musical or simply watching Madysen (and now Gavin) cheer on her high school football team…nothing like Friday Night Lights! Of course, these things can only happen when I am not driving my kids back and forth to all of their activities-which seems to be where most of my time is spent these days. Madysen and I are members of the National Charity League which allows us to volunteer in the community regularly. Disneyland and the beach are my “happy places” and I try to get there whenever I can. This is the start of my TWENTY-FIFTH year at Round Meadow and my twenty fourth year teaching first grade. Talk about time flying!
First grade is a magical time in your child’s life. I can attest to that both as a teacher and a parent. Please know that I am here for your child and for your family. We’re all in this together! My goal is to build a caring, trusting relationship with each one of my students and to maintain a strong partnership with each of you. I am looking forward to getting to know your family.
At our "happiest place" this summer!
Teddy the Troublemaker-the kids hear alot about him during the year!
