-Ed Puzzle: Informative Writing - Introduction Paragraph (assigned in Google Classroom, Writing)

-Read Introductions Nonfiction Biography. Also, remember to look at the Temple Grandin biography example for ideas. The introduction is titled, "Temple Grandin has a gift" and gives a topic sentence, hook, and examples of her contributions to society. It precedes the section about her early life.

-Write an excellent introduction to your biography!

-Fractions packet (review). Do as much of the packet as possible. You are not required to finish the entire 2 pages but do what you can.

-Restaurant menu due Monday. You must have at least 5 items each of Appetizers, Main Dishes, Side Dishes, Desserts, Beverages. All prices must have decimals and change (i.e. $24.35 not $24). You can do these entirely at home or email to me to print out for you. You may also do them by hand.

-Finish both sides of the math worksheet on division of multi-digit numbers using the area model.

-Please make sure you have copied down the correct spelling, definition, example sentence and drawing/illustration for each vocabulary word. We will have a brief vocab quiz on Wednesday. The vocab slides are up on Google Classroom in ELA.

HOMEWORK 9/26/2024: 

MATH: 

-Finish pg. 73 in math book (#4, 6, 8 and 9). Make #9 a multiplication word problem using a 4-digit number and a 2-digit number. We set up and worked through some of these in class together.

-Answers will be posted in Google Classroom for you to check your work!

D. Multiplication

• Multiply 2-digit numbers by 3-digit numbers

• Multiply by 2-digit numbers: word problems

-Short Math Quiz will be Thursday on multiplication of 2-3 digit numbers using area models, conceptual algorithm (partial products), and standard algorithm ("carry the 1" way 😉).

Study for MATH QUIZ TOMORROW! Do the worksheet sent home and check your work per the answer key.

Other great ways to study are IXL (continue all UU. Volume units up to 100 with the exception of #9). Review the worksheets you have already completed. Review the Khan Academy videos on Google Classroom. Good luck!

HOMEWORK 9/13/2024:

-Study for the U.S Landforms Social Studies Quiz on Monday, 9/16--unless you already scored 100% on the practice quiz, in which case you do not need to take the quiz.

-Read for at least 20 minutes every day! Everyone should be reading a book from start to finish and enjoying themselves!
