CLASSROOM RULES:
RESPECT yourself, classmates, teachers, staff, and school property
RESPONSIBILITY with homework, classwork, labs, bringing materials, and use of proper language
ACCOUNTABILITY for raising your hand to speak, following lab safety rules and procedures, keeping your hands, feet, and objects to yourself
GRADING POLICY:
Grades will be based on classwork, projects, test, quizzes, labs, participation, and homework. Grades are based on a point system which gets translated into a percentage. Please be aware that I do not round grades or assign extra credit work.
Grades will be assigned as the following:
A 100-90%
B 89-80%
C 79-70%
D 69-60%
F 59-0%
CLASS POLICY:
HOMEWORK
Homework is due the next day unless otherwise announced.
I will give notice of all due dates for homework, projects, test dates, etc. in the student’s organizer. Please check the organizer daily for homework! It is signed or stamped every day by a teacher/adult.
ABSENT
If you feel sick, please stay home! If you are absent it is your responsibility to check the "WE MISSED YOU" basket for any handouts that you missed. In order to receive full credit for absent work, assignment(s) need to be fully completed, properly labeled, marked with "Absent Work" at the top, and turned into the absent work folder in class. The due date for absent work is extended by the same number of days as you were absent from class.
You are responsible to check your google classroom and this website to see what you have missed.
LATE WORK
All assignments are expected to be turned in on time. I will accept late work up until one week before the end of the grading period. Points will be deducted from any assignment turned in late. I will not remind you to turn in missing work. Late work must be properly labeled and turned into the late work folder in class. I will not grade late assignments that are not properly submitted.
TECHNOLOGY
Technology is great, but it also comes with great responsibility!!! When you come to class please do not take out your Acer or personal computer unless instructed by the teacher. The use of technology is a privilege and should be used respectfully. Gaming, internet browsing, YouTube, social media, or shopping is NOT allowed. Stay on task when using your computer.
Cell Phones: In an effort to provide a safe and consistent learning environment for all students, students may only use their cell phones before and after school. Students need to put their cell phones away and NOT have them out during school hours (8:50am-3:12pm). No texting, emailing, making phone calls, social media, etc... If you need your phone for what we are doing in class, you must get permission BEFORE using your phone in my class. You are NEVER allowed to use your phone to take pictures or videos of other students in class.
