Assignments, projects, directions, notes, and important links will be posted in Google Classroom. Students need fully charged Acers, personal earbuds/headphones, and a positive outlook!

ELA Supply List 2023-24:
Required every day in class:
Composition Book (college ruled preferred but not essential) *NO spirals* The composition book is exclusively for ELA. It will be used throughout the school year and periodically collected. Your ELA comp book may not be used for other classes!
2-pocket folder for ELA only [We don't use notebooks or binders in ELA!]
Acer (or personal laptop) - Fully charged and updated
Shut down your Acer and charge it overnight! This allows updates to install properly!
Headphones/earbuds [keep in backpack]
Pens & highlighters will be provided in class, but if you prefer to bring your own, you need:
blue or black pens [*No pencils] -Note: All ELA work is done in ink. You won’t use pencil
red or green pens for correcting, revision, notes
2 highlighters - different colors
*Please note that you will need pens and highlighters at home!
Other supplies:
8 1/2 x 11 college ruled loose-leaf paper
various art supplies as needed [colored pencils, markers, etc.]
*pencil & good eraser [*for scantron tests only]
gallon Ziploc [to use as book cover] - REQUIRED to cover any novels checked out from the classroom library

Students, we will review the slides in class over the first few days so that you can fully understand the information and ask questions.
LVUSD student usernames are formed using the first five or fewer letters (if student's name is John, for example) of first name, first five letters or fewer of last name, last two digits of ID, and last two digits of birth year:
John Steinbeck, 3015678, 1902, would sign in as johnstein7802
For your LVUSD student Gmail, add @student.lvusd.org to the above.
Your password is your 7-digit permanent ID number!
When using apps/sites, students must always use their LVUSD student Gmail.
