Hello! My name is Paula Johnson. I hold a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. The 2022-23 school year is my 24th year teaching in LVUSD. I have taught at 3 schools within the district; Lupin Hill, Round Meadow, and finally here at Willow, where I have been since 2010. Over the last 20+ years, I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but 14 of those years have been as a K teacher. It remains my absolute favorite grade to teach!

Originally from Chicago, I moved to the Los Angeles area 27 years ago with my husband, Nick. We have 3 children; Anthony (22) recently graduated from Lewis University and is a pilot. Téah (18) is a freshman in college, and LJ (14) is starting high school. The Johnson family also has 2 four-legged members: a Great Dane named Hercules and a rescue dog/"pocket pittie" named Alfie.

In my free time, I love to read, workout, go to concerts with my husband, travel the world, and spend time with friends and family. I live locally in Oak Park, so you are likely to run into me at the market or Starbucks!

As a parent, I completely understand the joys, fears, wonderment, challenges, and time-constraints that go hand-in-hand with raising a child. I am here to support both your child and you on this journey. I look forward to working together this school year to help your kinder kiddo thrive!
