We ♥️Makerspace

February is the perfect month to take time to do the things you love. Here in the AEW Makerspace we LOVE making cool stuff! Come on by at lunch to be creative and have fun with friends.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated supplies for our Makerspace over the past couple of months - we cannot keep this space running without you!

The AEW Makerspace is looking for craft supply donations. Donations can be dropped off at the front office or directly to the Media Center. Please contact Jessica at jkowalski@lvusd.org for more information.

December DIY!

December in the Makerspace was all about Pom Poms. On December 8th, we had a Winter Craft Workshop where we made adorable pom pom penguins, and it turns out we LOVE making pop poms! Our one day workshop turned into a week of creating cute, fluffy penguins for all sorts of friends and family. The new year will see lots of new colors of yarn and pom pom project ideas for our prodigious pom pom producers.

We would love donations of yarn if anyone has extra laying around!

Makerspace Halloween Fun!

Our Makerspace has been full of creative ghouls and goblins! On the last two Mondays in October, students gathered to make fun Halloween crafts in sessions led by our generous and talented Media Center volunteers. We always love to see what our imaginative kiddos come up with, and these creations did not disappoint!

Makerspace is open Mondays, Tuesday, and Thursdays at lunch time and all students are welcome to come and create! Our next sign-up crafting sessions will be coming in December, so keep an eye and ear out for our announcements.
