WELCOME TO THE J CREW!
I am so excited to be your child's teacher this school year. Fifth grade is such a wonderful year for building independence, the exploration of new and exciting curriculum, while continuing to discover and make connections throughout. We will work together to create a meaningful year of learning and growing through these ever changing times.
Who is Mrs. J?
This is my 17th year in education. I have worked as a substitute in all grades K-12, and have had my own classes in 2nd, 3rd, 5th , as well as being a 9th-12th grade health teacher. This is my 11th year in the Las Virgenes Unified School District. I have a husband (Rob), two daughters, Camryn (who is an 10th grader at Agoura High School, Charley (who is a 7th grader at Lindero Canyon Middle school), three step sons who live in Australia (Will is 17, Dillon is 21, and Jackson is 24), and our fur baby Luna. In my free time, I enjoy doing yoga, cooking, listening to music (Dave Matthews Band is my absolute favorite), reading, hiking, dancing, traveling, and spending time with my family.
I am thrilled to be with your children for their final year of elementary school. My goal is to inspire learning, foster connection, and to allow your child to engage in this shared experience in a new and more meaningful way than ever before.
