Art 1 - The Elements of Art                       Art 2 - The Principles of Art

High school is a time when students can  begin to sharpen their skills in the visual arts. Through art-making, critique, art history and investigation with materials and tools, students become more aware of the elements and principles of art. This leads to a higher understanding of a global society, the impact cultures have had on human development and a sharpened concept on the art of “looking”. 

Students in Art 1 and art 2 will use the elements and principles of art to design meaningful and thoughtful compositions.
