Here’s a general overview of what you will need to do to apply for position options:
You are required, for any position, to fill out an application (which includes a written portion in which you will respond to prompts) and then interview after your application is submitted. For any officer position you are also required to also attach a video to your application for the online election.
Officer positions are for your graduating class (president, vice president, secretary, historian for your graduating class). Anyone may apply. This requires an application and a video for the election's Google Form. The video will be on the Google Form election so that students can hear from you why you are the best candidate to be their class officer.
ASB officer positions are for those who have already taken at least one year of ASB, preferably a junior or senior. (ASB president, ASB Vice President, ASB Attorney General, ASB Secretary). This requires an application and video for the election's Google Form. The video will be on the Google Form election so that students can hear from you why you are the best candidate to be their class officer.
Appointed positions are for applying for committee positions (these do not require elections). Anyone may apply. You will be asked for your preferences, but it is not guaranteed you will get that committee position. A variety of factors will determine what committee you will be placed in if you are accepted into ASB. This does not require a video or an election.

Elected Positions
Note: In order to run for an ASB elected position, you must have been in leadership for at least 1 year during high school. A video* is required to be submitted with the application for the election Google Form.
*This video is to be 30-60 seconds. Remember this video will be seen by the election/appointing committee and it will also be available for LHS students to view on a Google Doc. Please do your best to make a creative video that highlights your strengths, what you can do to better serve our school in ASB, and what students can realistically look forward to seeing you do for them in your role.
