Jamf and Apple Configurator

Utilizing MDM in a Shared Device Environment

Adam Derrick, Lehigh University

Abstract:

Students are vulnerable in shared classroom settings, not just because they are sharing a common iPad but also because they are sharing private information with their institution. Helping students feel comfortable enough to share this data allows faculty to provide the most efficient digital classroom and can strengthen the student experience.

This presentation will discuss helpful tools to ensure data is stored and removed from your shared iOS device securely. Explore simple workflows to provide a zero-touch deployment when new devices are purchased. Learn about utilizing new offerings in Jamf, Apple Configurator, and other MDM solutions to make technology work for you in your unique environment while ensuring security compliance.
