(Prayer Service, Central District 2016) Key scripture verse is Luke 24:31a & 32a, Jesus is talking to two disciples on the road to Emmaus, “Did not our hearts burn within us while He talked to us.” This prayer service expands on the theme “Fan into Flame the Gift of God” by seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance to “Feel the Burn” in our corporate worship, in daily living, in private devotion and Bible study, in prayer and in our service to others, so that we would have the burning desire to share His message. (Prayer Service 2013) The key scripture verse for this service is Psalm 25:15. The emphasis of this verse is that we look to the Lord who rescues us. This Prayer Service will direct you to the various channels of learning that will enable you to hold fast to His Word and to hang on for dear life. (Prayer Service 2026) The theme of this servicd is based on the hymn "Hark the Voice of Jesus Crying", "Who will go and work today?" It goes on to say, the harvest fields are ready but the labourers are few. The question is asked "Who will answer gladly saying, here am I send me, send me? Jesus is calling you and me, will we respond "Here am I send me, send me? Bibles will be needed for the Scripture readings. Hymns are from the LSB or printed in the prayer service.

I Need Thee Every Hour
(Prayer Service) The title of this Prayer Service says it all and is based on the hymn “I Need Thee Every Hour”. It reminds us and reinforces within us that we need God every waking hour of the day and every hour of the the night. May the Holy Spirit work in us to acknowledge this personally “I need Thee every hour.” Amen. The Prayer Service comes complete with Bulletin (pages printed in booklet form, ready to print and fold), includes all scripture passages, hymns and prayers. (Prayer Service-LWMLC Central District – 2018) Based on Psalm 62:7 “On God rests my salvation and my glory, my mighty rock, my refuge is God.” Through the enticements of this world, Satan tempts us to chase after his temporal R&R – riches and reputation. Our sinfulness would carry us off in Satan’s direction, but in His great love for us the Holy Spirit calls us to repentance and to follow God’s R&R – Rock and Refuge as He leads us in Confession, in Divine Service, in Prayer, in Service to others and in our Daily Living. (Prayer Service, Central District 2014) The key scripture verses for this service are from John 15:4-5 which emphasizes that Jesus is the vine and we are the branches and that without Him we can do nothing. Through Him the Holy Spirit prepares us to spread the seeds of the Word in our personal lives, our congregational lives and in our involvement with LWMLC. This prayer service included prayers for the 2013 mission grants, but can be easily updated to current mission grants. Hymns and League Pledge included but not all scripture passages. (Prayer Service -LWMLC 2024) Based on Proverbs 4:20-21 My (child), be attentive to My words; incline your ear to My sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. May you be encouraged to always take God’s Word to heart whether you engage with Him in Divine Service, personal devotional time or study in a corporate setting with your Pastor and other faith minded believers. Hymns (LSB) are printed within the prayer service for convenience, Scriptures reading given (requires Bibles) and printed in booklet format for easy use.
