About GEAR UP

This grant program is designed to increase the number of students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. GEAR UP provides six-year or seven-year grants to states and partnerships to provide services at high-poverty middle and high schools. GEAR UP grantees serve an entire cohort of students beginning no later than the seventh grade and follow the cohort through high school. 

LHS GEAR UP

LHS GEAR UP is dedicated to equipping the classes of 2024 and 2025 with the knowledge and skills necessary for success. Our aim is to eliminate any barriers that students may face and provide them with the resources they need to discover their after-high school goals.

To stay connected and communicate with our students, the LETS GEAR UP grant utilizes the Mogli messaging platform. Mogli is an application for SMS, MMS, & WhatsApp that is easy to use.
