The trip will be here before you know it! By this payment students should have $1325 paid in and non-students should have $1550. If you need to check your balance, check the sheet at the front of the band hall or contact Mr. G at rodney.gurley@lubbockisd.org.
We will leave Lubbock late in the evening June 3 and return to Lubbock the evening of June 8.

Winterguard Season is in Full Swing!
Our fabulous Winterguard will have THREE contest shows of this year's production "What a Show!" this month! Saturday March 2 at Roosevelt, Saturday March 9 at Frenship, and Saturday March 30 at Caprock Color Guard Circuit Championships in Big Spring. Inspired by the exciting and carefree style, “What A Show!” brings jazz to the modern age while showcasing the talent of the Monterey guard.
Thank you to those of you who are volunteering to work as floor crew. Without you the show could not go on! Good luck Winterguard!

Wind Ensemble Invited to West Texas A&M University
The MHS Wind Ensemble has accepted an invitation to perform at the WTAMU Instrumental Band Clinic on March 23 in Amarillo! At this clinic we will get to learn from the instrumental faculty as well as have full band clinics from Don Lefevre, Director of the fabulous WTAMU Symphonic Band, and Dr. Gary Garner, WTAMU Professor Emeritus. We will conclude the day with a concert performance to showcase our work, along with the other three invited bands.

All three of our concert bands will be presenting a concert in the MHS Auditorium at 6:30 PM on March 28. This concert will preview our UIL Concert contest literature for the upcoming contest season in April. Admission is free and all are welcome! It is much more fun to perform for a crowd that empty chairs!
