Welcome to 7th grade math!

Students begin the year focused on applying prior knowledge of numerical operations and working with decimals, fractions, and percents. Rates, ratios, and proportional relationships come next and students will apply their skills to construct scale drawings and models. From there, we will focus heavily on geometry for a portion of the year, working with angles, triangles, circles, quadrilaterals, and prisms. They will construct and draw geometric figures and describe the relationships between them while also determining area, perimeter, circumference, and volume. Finally, we will explore data, statistics, and probability.
