Greenwood Sanctuary
Team AMORE got the oppurtunity to conduct zooplankton collection alongside two conservation-biology majors from the LSSU Center for Freshwater Research and Education (CFRE). The team conducted overnight testing using an unmanned surface vessel.
I500 International Snowmobile Race (2025)
Team AMORE volunteers during set up and race day of the I500 International Snowmobile Race. We also set up an informational booth to share marine robotics with the community.
FIRST Lego League
Team AMORE volunteered at the FIRST Lego League competition hosted on Lake Superior State University's campus. Members were event staff, worked in the concession stand, and inspired the next generation by presenting our work.
Superior Slapshot System
Team AMORE sets up and mans the Superior Slapshot System at Lake Superior State University Hockey Games for attendees to experience a pervious LSSU Engineering Senior Project.
Brimley First Lego League CFRE Demonstration
Team AMORE demostrated their unmanned surface vessel "Sardaine" to the Brimley First Lego League team. Students were given the oppurtunity to drive the vessel and were later given a tour of the LSSU School of Engineering and Technology.
Engineers Day (2024)
Team AMORE held a booth at Engineers Day 2024 in Sault Ste Marie, MI to represent Lake Superior State University. Team AMORE presented two unmanned surface vessels: the Sardaine and the Blueboat. They presented the research on autonomous freshwater quality data collection conducted by the senior project AMORE III.
CFRE Donor Party
Team AMORE was invited to the annual Center for Freshwater Research and Education (CFRE) Donor Party to present their work in the field of marine robotics. Team AMORE met with donors and LSSU faculty members.
AMORE Lecture Series
Team AMORE has started a lecture series covering robotics in the maritime domain. These lectures are open to anyone, not just engineering majors. The purpose of these lectures is to garner interest in robotics and further inform the public about the field. Faculty members and industry contacts are invited to speak throughout the lecture series.
LSSU Center For Freshwater Research and Education Grand Opening (2021)
Team AMORE I attended the LSSU Center for Freshwater Research and Education (CFRE) grand opening with their newly acquired WAM-V.
Skating with the Lakers (2021)
Team AMORE I showed off their brand-new WAM-V at the annual Skate with the Lakers fundraiser
