About Us

•  Team AMORE (Autonomous Maritime Operations and Robotics Engineering) is a multidisciplinary team of undergraduate students from Lake Superior State University. Click here to learn more about Team AMORE.

• Team AMORE is developing the systems for an unmanned surface vehicle (USV) using a 16-foot long Wave Adaptive Modular Vessel (WAM-V). This USV is also designed to interface with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to create an autonomous maritime system (AMS).

• The AMS is to be developed for the Maritime RobotX Challenges, where it will be required to complete a series of autonomous tasks. For more information on the RobotX competition, please visit the official RobotX website.

• Team AMORE is also building an Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) for competing in the RoboBoat Competitions. For more information on the RoboBoat competition, please visit the official RoboBoat website.

• Team AMORE started as a senior project team in August 2021, it transitioned to a new RobotX club. Since then, additional senior project teams have been formed to pursue robotics research in the maritime domain.

• Team AMORE competed in multiple RobotNation competitions, including the Virtual RobotX Competition (VRX), the Maritime RobotX Challenge and RoboBoat.
