About Us
Team AMORE (Autonomous Maritime Operations and Robotics Engineering) is a multidisciplinary team of undergraduate students from Lake Superior State University. Click here to learn more about Team AMORE.
Team AMORE is developing the systems for an unmanned surface vehicle (USV) using a 16-foot long Wave Adaptive Modular Vessel (WAM-V). This USV is also designed to interface with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to create an autonomous maritime system (AMS).
The AMS is to be developed for the Maritime RobotX Challenges, where it will be required to complete a series of autonomous tasks. For more information on the RobotX competition, please visit the official RobotX website.
Team AMORE is also building an Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) for competing in the RoboBoat Competitions. For more information on the RoboBoat competition, please visit the official RoboBoat website.
Team AMORE started as a senior project team in August 2021, it transitioned to a new RobotX club. Since then, additional senior project teams have been formed to pursue robotics research in the maritime domain.
Team AMORE competed in multiple RobotNation competitions, including the Virtual RobotX Competition (VRX), the Maritime RobotX Challenge and RoboBoat.
