Our 4th grade science curriculum this year is called Great Minds PhD. You will hear about a lot of activities, demonstrations, real world connections, and will come to hear the same terms over and over: Notice/Wonder Chart, Anchor Chart, Anchor Model, Driving Question Board, Claim/Evidence/Reasoning etc. Student logbooks will track learning and notes throughout each of the 4 science units this year. Google Classroom is also a good resource for review material.

We have an AMAZING resource this year- a video to go along with EVERY science lesson! We will not always show them in class, so if you are curious what we are learning about or want to have your student study for their test, I HIGHLY encourage that you check these out! They are also extremely valuable if your student misses school. Students can access them through Clever using the Great Minds InSync app. Once you're in the Great Minds app, click Find on the left side. Then choose science, arrow over to level 4, and then choose the module and lesson we are on.
