We will be using the Eureka Math Squared curriculum this year! Our 4th grade gifted students will be learning 5th grade math material. 

Module Tests 

Our math quizzes and tests will contain LEAP like rigor and will be based on the Eureka Math curriculum and the modules used in class. The students will always know in advance when there will be a test and they will be encouraged to study from their problem sets. Completeing homework every night and paying attention in class every day will greatly increase their success on these tests. Math tests will be online using a program called Edulastic, but students will still show their work using paper and pencil.

Bellringer Quizzes

Bellringers are based on 4th grade math standards as a review in preparation for the LEAP test. They are done most weeks every morning. We do 4 problems a day and go over them in depth. Students have a chance to ask questions. Students have this at all times and can study from it. A quiz will be given on Friday based on the problems done thorughout the week. 

Homework 

Homework is assigned each night. Not doing it can and will greatly affect your students overall grade and success on the tests. Time will be given every day for the students to write down their homework. Please see the homework help tab on this site if any assistance is needed. 

iReady

iReady is an online program used to get a sense for where students are individually in math. Diagnostic testing is done at the begining, middle, and end of the year to show growth. Based on these results, "My Path" lessons are assigned to the students based on their own individual weaknesses. "Teacher Assigned" lessons are assigned by me and tend to go along with what we're learning in class. iReady is a great tool and can be done at school or at home.
