Thanksgiving Message from Interim Superintendent Irma D. Trosclair November, 2019

During this season of gratitude and reflection, I want to thank our team of educators, support staff, parents and community for your commitment and dedication to the students of the Lafayette Parish School System. At this time of year, we are reminded of the many things we have to be thankful for. I am grateful to have such great partners in this work. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of the students we serve.

I am especially thankful for our students who come each day ready to learn. Students, thank you for inspiring us to do the important work of teaching and growing you. It is an honor to serve and support you as you develop into our community’s future leaders. As we visit campuses and classrooms throughout our district, we continue to be impressed by the students of Lafayette Parish.

On behalf of LPSS, I wish all of our students and families a Happy Thanksgiving!

As a reminder, schools will be closed next week, November 25 - December 2, 2019 for the Thanksgiving break. School will resume on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
