This piece is meant to comment on how we don’t take the lives of wild animals seriously. I modernized the art of taxidermy to make it ethical and accessible to me, and added accessories and bright colors to contrast the usual natural colors that are used in taxidermy.

Crochet and beads
4’x1.5’
For the longest time, I’ve wanted to crochet a dress, but I’ve never had the time or materials to get it done. This dress took just over a week to make and is inspired by Hokusai’s Great Wave.

Upcycled jean pants
90” x 100”
This is a tribute to my dad. Throughout my childhood, he worked to support us, and this project repurposes the jeans he used during that time. He asked that I make this for him, so I want to gift it to him once it gets finished. This piece is a labor of love as well as a testament to the labor he put into raising us.

The meaning of bees is about what bees symbolize to me. I wanted to represent the matriarchal society, motherhood, femininity, drivenness, and community I see within the hive.

Size Womens XL
The goal of this project was to show my personal style and uniqueness through a school tradition. I made these mimic the style of American traditional tattoos where every individual painting represents an aspect of myself.

The story of the selkie goes like this: a young, beautiful woman appears on land, usually dancing on the shore. Her sealskin is stolen by a man and she is bound to him and forced to marry him because he hides it. Later, she finds it and returns to the sea where she belongs. This story is about love, finding yourself, and escaping from a situation you don’t belong in. This piece is a 3D illustration that captures her freedom and beauty.
