Thespian Membership and Points

How to Join Thespians

THESPIANS is an HONOR SOCIETY. You may be an APPRENTICE THESPIAN for your first year while you accrue at least 10 points for INDUCTION in the spring. APPRENTICE THESPIANS can participate in most Thespian activities.

Once a student has accrued enough points, they will be invited to be inducted. This requires a one-time fee, which is submitted to the International Thespian Society, earning official membership. Apprentices and Members submit a yearly fee to our Thespian troupe in order to supplement social events we host throughout the year, iincluding our end-of-the-year theatre banquet. Please review this year's fee breakdown below. We look forward to seeing you this year!

Thespians can begin earning points the summer after their 8th grade year until they graduate from high school.

I was a Junior Thespian in Middle School, does that benefit me in my High School Thespian Troupe?

Yes! Any student who was a Junior Thespian in Middle School can carry over up to 5 points from their Junior Thespian points to their High School Thespian points record. If the student also served as a Thespian Officer for their Middle School Thespian Troupe, they may carry over an additional 5 points. However, students must still earn half of their required 10 points at LHS in order to be considered for induction.
