LHS Thespian Troupe #5082 is part of The International Thespian Society, an honor society for secondary school theatre students. Membership is granted for the performance of meritorious work in theatre arts. Consult the calendar for meeting times and see all the other DRAMATIC events planned during the year!
Why Thespians?
Thespians is for any student who possesses a passion for theatre.
Thespians honors student achievement in theatre and enriches your educational experience. Members gain pride, recognition, and affirmation in earning induction into an international honor society. All members receive an official membership pin, card, certificate, and access to Dramatics magazine, the only publication edited exclusively for theatre students and teachers. Once a member, students are eligible to hold school, state, and international leadership positions as well as gain access to exclusive opportunities including workshops, performances, individual event assessments, college auditions, and more.
How to Get Involved
Step 1: Come to a Thespian Meeting
Thespians meets on the every other Tuesday. You can check the Digital Callboard for the next meeting date. Anyone can attend a Thespian Meeting. You can participate in most activities as an Apprentice member and ALL activities as an Inducted Thespian.
Any student may participate as a THESPIAN APPRENTICE for as long as they want to be an APPRENTICE. They must register as an Apprentice (sign up at a meeting), attend meetings, and work to earn points for INDUCTION (which happens in May at the annual Theatre Banquet.) And speaking of these points…
