Designed for high school freshmen through seniors, join us on stage July 9-12, 2024 at Kansas State University where voice professors will guide you through intensive workshops and lessons covering vocal techniques, choreography, and acting, culminating in staged musical scenes at the end of the week. The K-State Musical Theatre Camp is an all-inclusive college experience for high school students with meals, room, and activities provided. Whether you're an active performer or exploring the world of musical theatre, this is your chance to shine.

Help your child connect with an artistic community of other kids this summer! The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival’s signature summer camps provide a place for your child to collaborate, create, learn language and presentation skills, build confidence, and HAVE FUN!

In our interactive and creative classroom, students will explore Shakespeare’s plays, life, and times, as well as learn acting techniques to help bring the text to life. Camp includes team building, visual art, storytelling, and MORE!

-Professional teaching artists will lead campers through the day via camp sessions, individualized coaching, and interactive projects.
-Camps will concentrate on process-based lesson plans to focus on the growth of each student individually and as an ensemble.
-Camps will culminate in presentations for friends and families to enjoy.Campers may need access to a smart phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection.

Teens and pre-teens: join us this summer for 2 weeks of theatre fun!

KCRep is excited to offer two Summer Camp sessions in July 2024 for middle school (July 8 – 19) and high school-aged teens (July 22 – August 2). Young performers of all experience levels are invited to join us as we celebrate individuality, imagination, and creativity. Learn about Acting, Voice, Movement, Playwriting, and the fun-damentals of theatre from talented Kansas City artists in a safe, structured, joy-centered environment. KCRep Summer Theatre Camp will take place at the Olson Performing Arts Center, located on the UMKC campus; 10am to 4pm on Mondays through Fridays. Tuition for each session is $500 per student.
