When you are writing for a Theory of Knowledge assignment, be sure to keep these expectations in mind.
Use MLA format - this includes formatting, citations, use of quotations, bibliography, etc. DO NOT MAKE UP your own rules.
Use first person - I want to know that these are your ideas.
Use real-life examples, not hypothetical or made up examples. Use experiences that you have had.
Show instead of tell - the more detail you can give, the more you can explore and analyze your examples.
Make sure you consider your audience - me. You don't have to define things that an educated, veteran teacher would already know.
Never use dictionary definitions in your writing, ever!
Avoid cliches.
Vary your sentence beginnings; vary your sentence structures.
Try to show your voice in your writing...how can I tell that this is student A and not student B?
In your conclusion, try to explain why any of what you have said matters. What insight can you provide? Why should we (your reader) care?
