All Powell sixth graders are welcome to join us for our volleyball season, where our purpose is to learn and refine basic skills, make some new friends, and have fun! We will play against each other, but there are no competitions against other schools.
Each volleyball player must complete a yellow emergency card (two-sided) and pay the athletic fee to participate. Please contact Angela Cook, arcook@lps.k12.co.us, with fee questions.

6th grade volleyball starts Wednesday, August 20.
Other dates are listed above and on the Powell calendar.
We practice from 3:40 - 4:40 pm.
You do not need any specific volleyball clothing, but you will need to have gym-appropriate shoes to play.
You will need to turn in the emergency cards and athletic fee by Tuesday, September 9.
6th grade will not have any inter-school matches. We will learn/work on the basics of passing, setting, and serving. As our passing skills improve, we will add hitting.
You and your family need to make arrangements for transportation after school. Late buses leave by 4:50. Mrs. Blake and Ms. Bowlen have family commitments, and all players need to be safely heading home by no later than 4:50.
If you need to leave early, please let Mrs. Blake and Ms. Bowlen know before you leave.
